With the LC Waikiki Meta Store, whose trial version was first launched, the aim is to develop the platform while bringing the shopping experience of the future to consumers. At LC Waikiki Meta Store; With their three-dimensional models, they will be able to view more than 120 products in the categories of women, men, children and babies and make their purchases and receive the products they have purchased at their address. In Turkey’s first Meta store; There are five different venues, each with different themes, such as Fairyland, Anime, Waikiki Beach. LC Waikiki, which prepares fun experience opportunities by combining gaming and shopping experiences on the platform, offers its customers experiences such as walking the whale in the sky, experiencing thrilling moments with the roller coaster, collecting coupons hidden in the treasure hunting fiction area which is widely used in games.

Aiming to provide an extraordinary and innovative shopping experience with the metastore prepared by the work of LC Waikiki’s 16-strong metastore team, LC Waikiki also exhibits monkey NFTs in this store, whose revenues are donated to TEGV.

LC Waikiki Digital Transformation and Information Technologies General Manager Şerafettin Özer stated that they continue their work in the belief that the concept of metaverse will become a part of our daily lives: “We continue to fully manage and develop our metaverse works under the guidance of our metaverse team. At LC Waikiki Meta Store, we focused on providing a fun shopping experience by creating a pleasant world for our customers. We designed our store to do this effortlessly and safely. It is possible to fully experience the visual and auditory effects on game consoles or computers with the necessary hardware functions. For this reason, we are opening our store to a very limited audience for now and will continue to improve with the feedback we receive from users. We also invest in technological developments that reduce the need for high-tech equipment through the start-ups we supply and support.

All our products in 3D format in Meta Store are fully developed by our in-house digital product designers in the 3D design program. As a brand that closely follows technological developments in the textile and fashion world, our long-term use of three-dimensional modeling in our design development processes has given us an edge in this process. With GAN AI, we analyze trends with artificial intelligence algorithms and produce design solutions that suggest patterns and product silhouettes, making life easier for our 3D product designers.

Of course, like the whole world, we are still at the beginning of the road. We are very excited about where we can go in the future. We wonder if shopping in Meta Store offers a different value proposition than e-commerce. We think one of the possible areas in Meta Store that e-commerce can’t provide is to be able to see how the products look on your avatar as if you were trying it in a physical cabinet. However, the technologies in this area have not yet reached a sufficient level of maturity in Turkey and in the world. Although augmented reality (AR) technologies make life easier in more standard products such as eyewear, shoes and accessories, the work on this topic has not reached the quality of experience we want at the moment because there are many different limitations, such as different product groups, body details, textile accents and castings in the clothing industry. Creating the same interaction by using your avatars in your Meta Store shopping will provide a richer experience as you would shopping with a friend in a brick and mortar store.
