DJI Mavic 3 drone takes off from Everest and reaches a height of 9232 meters, where even helicopters cannot fly

OUR DJI set a new record with a drone Mavic 3, which is currently a consumer drone that has flown at the highest altitude ever recorded at 9,232 meters above sea level. This was made possible by the fact that the drone took off from the highest point on Earth, Everest Peak. To achieve this record, DJI partnered with Chinese production company 8KRAW FILMS to organize a climb to the top of the mountain.

Everest is the highest peak on earth, several documentaries and films have shown how difficult it is to reach the summit, a place that includes a series of extremely dangerous situations where several people have already lost their lives trying to reach the summit. As DJI said in one of his lines: “This is Mount Everest. The highest point on earth. To describe the climate of this place as “difficult” is an understatement.“.

Mavic 3 takes off from the top of Everest, where not even helicopters fly

The ascent took place in May of this year, with a series of shots at different stages of the journey, including, of course, impressive drone footage taking off from the summit of Everest. Even helicopters do not go to this place due to climatic difficulties, such as snow storms, very strong winds, in addition to very low oxygen levels, about 30%. Mavic 3 flew for several minutes and took beautiful pictures among the clouds, reaching an altitude of 9232m above sea level. Theoretically, the drone could be raised even higher, but as mentioned, some situations, such as strong winds, are major complicating factors for a drone. Another important point: people cannot stay for long due to low oxygen content, extreme cold and wear and tear on the ascent, given the entire descent path, in addition to a number of other extreme hazards.
