The collection is packed with never-before-seen images of game concepts and development documents spanning decades of TMNT corpus, along with gameplay improvements.

Konami Digital Entertainment BV from today Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collectionannounced the release. In partnership with Nickelodeon, thirteen radical games and their Japanese versions* from KONAMI’s retro 8-bit, 16-bit and arcade TMNT archives bring the adventures of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo to consoles and desktops.

Going beyond thrilling battles against the clumsy men of the Shredder, the Cowabunga Collection reveals never-before-seen development documents, concept art and exclusive sketches from the dusty pages of KONAMI history.

As part of this collection, you can explore Turtle’s Lair, a virtual museum of all things TMNT, or take your nostalgia back in time by listening to tunes from retro games. It’s possible to get a glimpse into the creative process of how the games are brought to life with concept sketches that have not yet been revealed. You also have the option to view the original game guides, which have been carefully researched and compiled.

Adapted to the present day, this special collection also includes quality-of-life upgrades such as save and rewind functions where players want them. The watch-and-play mechanism is an option to help players pass challenging levels. This way, players get a preview of the levels before taking control. To revive the familiar game levels and further enhance the gaming experience, fun battle modes are waiting for you in the collection.

There are also strategy guides to help players take them to the next level. Maps and locations of hidden power-ups are now at your fingertips. Not completing an underwater mission in the NES version of TMNT will soon be a thing of the past!
