Last Tuesday (30th) infinix announced that 3 mobile phone models will receive android 12, the penultimate version of the operating system released by Google. Through its social media, the company emphasized that the models Zero 5G, Note 11 as well as Note 12 will be updated in September.

Importantly, these devices were announced between 2021 and 2022 and shipped with Android 11 running Infinix’s own interface. According to the company, the update is part of a customer commitment campaign that aims to provide a more powerful, streamlined and updated experience.

Despite confirming the release of Android 12 for three smartphones, Infinix has not confirmed the exact date for the official update. It is also worth remembering that the updated system will bring some of the new features introduced by Google, including user privacy improvements.

The manufacturer also said that in order to ensure a stable update, the release will go through a beta version available for download to all users. After this release, the full release of the optimized software will take place within 30 days. New content will follow the batch schedule. As such, not all customers who have the listed devices will receive Android 12 at the same time.

Infinix hasn’t said if any more Android 12 devices will get it in the coming months.
