Leica presents its first projectors

The German company Leica, best known for its cameras and lenses, is expanding its product range. It now has Cine 1 short-focus laser projectors that can project images at 80 and 100 inches. It is noteworthy that these are the first Leica projectors to have their own operating system and a built-in TV tuner.

The Leica Cine 1-100 and 1-80 have a stylish and portable design, a perforated aluminum body and a dust cover. This makes Cine 1 an ideal solution for installation in limited space. In addition, the projector uses DLP technology and is equipped with a triple RGB laser light source based on Leica optics. The maximum resolution of the picture is 4K, the nominal brightness is 2500 lumens (2100 lumens for the 80-inch version).

The Leica Cine 1 is one of the few projectors on the market with a built-in TV tuner and operating system. Especially using Vidaa TV 6. As for the ports, the device has Ethernet, several USB ports and three HDMI (2.1 and 2.0). In addition, the projector has built-in Doby Atmos speakers with a total power of 20 W. Wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is also supported.

According to the company, Cine 1 laser projectors use less energy than most OLED TVs. For example, the smaller model consumes an average of 185 W in standard mode, while the larger model consumes up to 320 W. Leica has not yet announced the prices of its projectors, they will appear on the European market in the second quarter of 2023.
