LG disclosed Smart TV 97G2 evo Gallery Edition, the world’s largest 97″ OLED TV. The company will present the TV on IFA 2022 event, which takes place in Berlin, Germany, from 2 to 6 September. According to LG, the price and release date will be announced in the coming weeks, likely during the event.
The evo Gallery Edition TV, model 97G2, is an incredible 97 inches and will be the largest OLED TV in the world. The premium model complements the company’s smart TV lineup, which includes 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83-, 88-, and now 97-inch variants.
97 inch OLED uses OLED evo technology, alpha 9 Gen 5 processor and Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail to reproduce vivid and immersive images, providing users with a cinematic experience. Model 97G2 features a flush-to-wall gallery that provides a seamless transition between unit and wall for a luxurious look.
During the IFA 2022 exhibition, the company Smart TV 97G2 will be available in the LG showroom for all visitors. In addition, the company will also display display technologies for OLED, Micro LED and QNED TV models.
The new one adjusts the illumination level of the display depending on the environment.
LG is one of the world leaders in the premium TV market with solutions such as the CineBeam 4K projector capable of wall-mounting screens up to 120 inches. Research shows that by the end of 2022, OLED TVs will account for 55% of the premium TV market in Europe, rising to 66% by 2023. LG strives to remain one of the world market leaders. Market expectations show that during 2023 the number of TVs over 70 inches will increase from 14.9 million units to 17.1 million in Europe.
At the moment, the company has not revealed the price of the 97-inch Smart TV, but since it is a premium model, the final cost of the product will not be cheap. While a 4K CineBeam projector costs over BRL 30,000, an 88-inch LG OLED can cost over BRL 100,000. Designed for galleries or those looking for a home theater experience, it’s sure to weigh your wallet.
