Nokia has halted deliveries and business processes in recent weeks and has shifted its research and development activities from Russia. Now the company is leaving the market completely.

However, Nokia explained that for humanitarian reasons, Western governments have expressed concerns about the risk of failure of the most important telecommunications networks infrastructure in Russia. They also emphasized the importance of providing Russia’s access to the Internet. Therefore, when the company leaves, it will try to provide the necessary support for network maintenance.

Nokia also said that in 2021, Russia accounted for less than 2% of the company’s net sales. Therefore, the financial implications of this will not be so obvious.
