IFA 2022. Amazfit, one of the world’s leading brands of smart wearables from Zepp Health, used the framework of the German trade fair to present the new generation of its smartwatches in three versions, GTR 4, GTS 4 and GTS 4 MINI.
The new smartwatch has news for health management and sports activities, in addition to improving the specifications of all new generations passing through for the occasion the new PPG BioTracker 4.0 optical sensor proprietary development and collects 33% more data than the previous version.
Amazfit says that when the sensor is combined with the watch’s improved heart rate tracking algorithm, potential signal interference from arm movement during exercise is significantly reduced. To improve it, with a function One tap measurement up to four metrics can be obtained in just 45 seconds and the training state algorithm PeakBeats also developed by the brand will provide performance data such as VO₂ max after completing any workout.
Most wearables have focused their operations on fitness and health monitoring and Amazfit equipped them with more than 150 sports modes and advanced fitness functions that allow athletes to monitor all activities. Additionally, users can sync their training data with Strava and Adidas Running. The new range also automatically recognizes eight sport modes and integrates the new advanced Track Run mode and the newly added Golf Swing mode.
Other innovations go through intelligent recognition of 15 strength exercises (which will increase to 25 after a firmware update), which allows the watch to automatically count the user’s repetitions, sets and rest periods. Custom interval training templates for 10 different sports can also be created right on the watch face.
