IFA 2022. HONOR is another manufacturer exhibiting new products in Berlin. We liked the MagicBook 14 compact notebook with good performance and great autonomy the most.

The Chinese brand’s new laptop employs a aluminum chassis “aircraft grade”, with a thickness of 16 mm and a weight of 1.58 kg. It’s not ultralight, but it’s not bad considering the screen 14 inch IPS who drives

It has an interesting resolution 2160 x 1440 pixels with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut support, 300 nits brightness and a screen-to-body ratio greater than 88% with bezels reduced to 4.9mm. It has TÜV Rheinland certification, which protects the eyes by reducing blue light and eliminating flicker.

Inside, the Intel Alder Lake processors stand out for laptops, and specifically the Core i5-12500H with 12 cores and 16 threads. It is supplemented by 16 GB of RAM and a PCIe SSD with a storage capacity of 512 GB.

HONOR has improved the graphics part of MagicBook 14 oa dedicated GeForce RTX 2050 Although it is not the latest generation of NVIDIA, it offers more features than the integrated Intel Xe that the processor is attached to.

In terms of connectivity, the combination of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 stands out, plus the usual ports for this type of notebook, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, gold Type-A and HDMI video output. Its keyboard is a full-sized backlit keyboard with a fingerprint on the power button.

It has two stereo speakers, two microphones and a 3.5mm audio jack. Its battery is another of the components highlighted with a capacity of 75Wh, which according to the manufacturer it will allow up to 15 autonomy. It comes with a 135W charger that charges 100% of its capacity in just 80 minutes.

HONOR MagicBook 14 pre-installs Windows 11 Home and includes other branded applications, especially “collaborative” ones that connect and allow smartphones to be used from a PC. It will soon be available to book in selected European markets for a price €1,099.
