Functioning whatsapp on mobile phones Apple With iOS 10 and 11 his days are numbered. Starting in October, devices running these versions of the operating system will no longer be able to use the app.
WABetaInfo estimated in May this year that the end of support for these systems will take effect on October 24th. Thus, users of cell phones such as the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c will have to look for other alternatives in order to continue using WhatsApp.
Anyone who owns devices newer than this but still has iOS 10 and iOS 11 will need to update their device. The end of support means that the app will no longer receive updates on these devices and eventually stop working altogether.
Thus, one of the main minimum requirements for WhatsApp to work on iPhone is that the device has iOS 12. The update was released in 2020 and is present on several Apple devices currently on the market.

Users who find it difficult to purchase a new device due to the price can turn to other older Apple devices. This is because iOS 12 is an operating system that is part of devices such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6s. With a newer version of iOS, they can continue to work with WhatsApp.
Despite the fact that the iPhone 5s has been on the market for almost 10 years, Apple still pays minimal attention to it. Last Wednesday (31st), the manufacturer released update 12.5.6 to address security issues found on the device.
The patch distributed by Apple for devices contains two fixes. The first one arrived with the goal of fixing a vulnerability that allowed malicious code to be run with administrator rights through an application. Meanwhile, the second one fixed a vulnerability found in WebKit that allowed code to run through Safari and other browsers.
Despite being the oldest device to receive the update, the iPhone 5s wasn’t the only one to get the update this week. This is because the manufacturer has also released fixes for the 6th generation iPod Touch, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and iPad Mini 3.
