IFA 2022. The Berlin trade fair is coming to an end and manufacturers are presenting their latest solutions. This mini-PC from MSI stands out with the use of the latest Intel processor platform and the absence of fans.
The mini-PC from MSI follows the NUC line from Intel or competitors like Gigabyte with the BRIX series. It is extremely compact in size, with thickness less than 3 cm and the minimum dimensions for placing a mini ITX board from the same manufacturer. The idea is that it can be placed anywhere in the office, home office, industrial systems, commercial kiosks or consumer desktop, as these small computers are capable of any computing use.
It is compatible with Intel’s twelfth generation processors, the Alder Lake U and P series, which means that you can install several dozen CPUs with TDP consumption of 15 or 28 watts. To highlight your passive cooling system which eliminates the need to build in active fans and their unpleasant noise.
Includes two SODIMM slots to store up to 64 GB of RAM in DDR4 format with a frequency of 3200 MHz. For mass storage, it includes an M.2 connector that can accommodate PCIe 4.0 SSDs, plus a 2.5-inch bay for a 7mm SATA SSD.
MSI says all components are easily accessible from the bottom of the computer, and the company’s own board has a “wireless design.” In addition to two additional M.2 connectors (form B and E) for installing additional modules with functions for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 or a mobile modem, has the following ports:
