The Huawei MatePad E Go is an interesting device for those looking for a 2 in 1 of a certain level with Windows. A new attempt to revive Microsoft for ARM since it was the first manufacturer to launch Windows 10 on ARM with the Matebook E 2019 at the time.
There aren’t too many Windows tablets. In fact, the offerings are limited beyond what’s coming from Microsoft itself with the Surface Go. (We’re leaving out the Surface Pro, since that line already scales the laptop lineup.) Microsoft spent a decade trying to put Windows on ARM without success. Apple’s success with the architecture switch in favor of ARM should be an incentive for Microsoft and its partners to persist. A new proposal is coming from Huawei.
