Schools allocated additional places for Ukrainians to study as part of the IT Generation project

Within the scope of the Informatics Production project, the educational institutions that provide Ukrainians with the opportunity to obtain a free profession in the field of informatics increased the number of quotas from 1,830 to 2,191 at their own expense.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

“It was previously said that 1,830 people could participate in the project. However, the schools have decided to increase the number of places at their own expense. Now, 361 additional places will appear among those applying for training who wish to master the IT specialization. These are 2,191 who will receive IT training from IT Generation. Ukrainian.”

In particular, Laba school allocated an additional 132 places, including GoIT – 50, Prog.Academy – 50, SourceIT – 28, ITEA – 20, A-Level – 18, Hillel IT School – 16, EPAM – 16, ISSP – 10. Mate Academy – 8, IAMPM – 7, Election31 – 6.

“Such an initiative is the best support for our project and the Ukrainians who need it. We will work for the project to continue and reach more people,” he said.

As reported, in June, the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched a new IT Generation project together with partners, the Binance blockchain ecosystem and the Lviv IT Cluster.

Within this framework, Ukrainians between the ages of 21-60 who have never received IT specialization training and have no work experience in this field will be able to gain a new qualification. Study duration: two to six months, depending on the study program.

The main purpose of IT Generation is to help talented Ukrainians find themselves in one of the most promising areas, to develop the Ukrainian economy and continue to work for the victory and successful future of our country.
