Apple has unveiled the iPhone 14, a smartphone that we already knew quite well thanks to the numerous leaks that have occurred in recent weeks. What worked and what didn’t? That is what we are going to discover in this article where we will tell you everything you need to know Apple’s new smartphone.

The iPhone 14 generally retains the design of the iPhone 13. It is a distinctly continuous terminal which preserves both the line and the quality of the construction of that which means it is built-in aluminum and glass, two materials typical of “premium” devices. There’s nothing new under the sun about the notch, it hides both the front-facing camera and the Face ID interface elements, and on the back we find a dual-camera setup that’s also reminiscent of the iPhone 13.

So we have a new member in the family, iPhone 14 Plus, which fills the void after the departure of the mini model and which is accompanied by the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. These last two are slated to be better versions, both for hardware-level specs and quality finishes and design, though we’ll talk about that later.

Apple has confirmed everything we knew, the same design, the same build quality and the same brain, that both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are equipped with A15 Bionic SoCthe same chip on which the current generation is installed, although with the peculiarity that both models integrate a GPU with 5 graphics cores, which means that this chip is slightly more powerful when working with advanced graphics and demanding games.

The iPhone 14 has a screen of 6.1 incheswhile the iPhone 14 Plus uses a panel 6.7 inches. Both are “Super Retina XDR” OLEDs, with up to 1,200 nits of brightness, HDR support, True Tone technology, and 2,000,000:1 contrast. Both have a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

On a hardware level, two of the most important innovations that the iPhone 14 presents are a high dynamic range gyroscope and dual-core accelerometer which are capable of working together detect accidents and contact emergency services.

We don’t have all the details on the hardware level, as Apple has left some things in the process, such as memory configuration and storage capacity, but everything indicates that it will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage capacity.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, a real revolution

The information we saw about the iPhone 14 Pro and its older brother, the Max model, also came true. Apple removed the notch and instead used a floating oval island known as the “Dynamic Island”. It integrates a 12MP front camera and FaceID sensors.

Behind the new Apple floating island retained the design of the previous generation in the iPhone 14 Pro, and the same happened with the available colors, as this model will arrive in the classic Space Black, Silver and Gold. The only new thing in terms of colors is Deep Purple, a color that is frankly quite striking.

Looking at the hardware, we find that it is powerful Apple A16 SoC manufactured in 4nm. Its CPU is 6-core and also split into two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores, but uses a new architecture that allows it to offer up to 40% more performance than its direct competitors. It has a neural processing unit capable of performing up to 17 trillion operations per second and has an Apple GPU with five graphics cores.

Jumping into the photography section, we find important advances in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Pro is great in photography and video capabilities, as we can see, something that becomes even clearer when we go through its main features, among which we can highlight shooting in ProRes, support for recording in cinema mode at 4K resolution and 30 FPS. or 4K and 24 FPS, ProRaw at 48 MP and uses a a new deep learning system to improve detail and reduce noise. Spectacular, no doubt.

We don’t know the RAM that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will have, but the latest information said that both models will have 6GB LPDDR5. We will update this article when we have confirmation, we can already assure you that both models come with 128 GB storage capacity in their basic configurations.
