Sony recently launched a closed beta test of a new feature – the manufacturer gave a small group of users the opportunity to try 1440p resolution. The testing process was probably successful because today, September 7, the Japanese giant has released a major update for its PlayStation 5 game console, where the ability to output images in 1440p resolution is now available to everyone. This paves the way for gamers to 2K monitors, which was precisely avoided due to previously unsupported resolution.
However, it is worth clarifying a strange point right away – in 1440p resolution mode, the user does not have VRR (variable frame rate) support. This feature is only available in 1080p and 4K resolutions. Surprisingly, the same feature is not available in 2K, but VRR support may be added later. And now the player has the ability to create folders for video games from the library. A total of fifteen folders are available, in each of which you can add a hundred video games. In this way, it will be easier for gamers to sort their video games, especially if there is a huge library.
