The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced the successful completion of the 31st flight of the Ingenuity Mars helicopter.

In this respect excitement NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) reports, reports Ukrinform.

“The Martian helicopter completed its 31st successful flight on September 6th. Creativity flew 97.2m west to Delta Lake in 55.6 seconds,” JPL said.

During the flight of the rotorcraft, the maximum height was recorded to be 10 meters.

Ingenuity’s previous flyby of the Red Planet took place on August 20.

As Ukrinform reports, the Ingenuity helicopter was delivered to the Red Planet along with NASA’s Perseverance rover on February 18, 2021, after almost seven months of flight. Ingenuity made its maiden flight on 19 April. The $85 million helicopter became the first plane to be launched from another planet.
