Throwflame company introduced the TF-19 Wasp drone with a flamethrower capable of spewing flames up to 8 meters long.
The TF-19 Wasp is not a flamethrower drone, but a flamethrower compatible with most industrial drones with a payload of 5kg or more.
The flamethrower system is based on the DJI S1000 octocopter and weighs 2.5 kg. The flamethrower itself weighs 1.8 kg and has a 3.7-liter fuel tank mounted on the rail system.
Such a design not only simplifies refueling, but also allows the operator to adjust the instrument’s center of gravity for effective flight control.
The flamethrower installation is designed for use in hard-to-reach places or where performing the task could endanger human health.
For example, such a flying flamethrower could be used as a snow melting unit to clear critical infrastructure of debris stuck in power lines, fight pests, and more.
The cost of such a device in the USA is $ 1,500.
