E-youth teams, which were established within the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to contribute to the National Technology Move and to make the city a technology base, attended Teknofest, Turkey’s first and only festival with the aim of developing national technologies , organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, known for its achievements.

GREAT SUCCESS FROM TEAMS

In this context, Sarsılmaz UAV Team, one of the E-Youth teams, received the 2022 Teknofest Incentive Award. Kocaeli University Autonomous System Technologies Team, also supported by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, received the most original software award at Teknofest Black Sea, while ALTAIR JET Team, one of the E-Youth teams, was awarded the second award in the 2022 Teknofest-Jet Engine Design contest. KOU Rover Team 2022, one of the E-Youth teams, took third place in the Teknofest-Industry Digital Technologies advanced category. GTU-AQUA, one of the E-Youth supported Aerospace Club teams, also came in second.

METROPOLITAN EQUIPMENT SUPPORT

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) competition aims to make the students aware of UAV technologies, encourage them to work on this topic and increase the competitiveness of the aerospace and defense industry. In this regard, there are technology workshops prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality for the students of Kocaeli University and Gebze Technical University. Thanks to the Technology Workshops, the Metropolitan provides equipment support to the young people to implement many high-budget technology projects, as well as the UAV.
