TEKNOFEST, which was held for the fifth time this year, showcased the projects of students from Istanbul Technical University. Our university returned from the festival at Samsun Çarşamba Airport on August 30 – September 4 with a total of 16 awards.

Led by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, in which our university is one of the academic stakeholders, was held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport between August 30 and September 4 with the support of important institutions and companies of our country.

At the competitions organized as part of TEKNOFEST, the project teams of ITU students made a strong impression with their success. Our students, who won a total of 16 awards, including 3 gold medals, became the prominent teams of TEKNOFEST.

Our winning teams received their awards from our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar. Our 37 project teams participating in ITU’s TEKNOFEST 2022; He competed in fields such as unmanned aerial vehicles, nanotechnology and materials science, software, aviation, artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems, electric vehicles, data science and electronics.

ITU stands attracted a lot of attention

ITU, with a booth at more than one point in the TEKNOFEST area, from autonomous marine vehicles to electric vehicles; From the unmanned underwater vehicle that can perform many tasks such as underwater mining to the drone that paints, the vehicles on display received intense interest from the visitors and received full appreciation from the industry representatives.

Our teams that won gold medals in TEKNOFEST competitions received their awards from our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, while other awards were presented by TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and representatives of executive institutions . Our 37 project teams participating in this year’s competitions; While reaping the benefits of long training and preparation processes, it made our university proud by winning a total of 16 awards, 3 of which were gold medals.
