The GeForce RTX40 are practically just around the corner if NVIDIA lives up to the expectations it has raised, so more and more data is gradually emerging about the features that the higher-end models should have, especially RTX 4090whose specifications and data obtained from tests leaked on the Chiphell forums and conducted with Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme, which measure DirectX 12 performance and are part of the 3DMark suite, are said to have been leaked.
Characteristics and performance data reported by the predicted NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and after running Time Spy showed a resting temperature of 30 degrees and 65 degrees under load with a frequency of 3.015 MHz, while the memory worked at 21 Gbps (which would be about 1312.75 MHz effective). The leak says that the graphics card only has a TGP of only 450 watts, but that the cooler can handle much more. It is important to note that this data may come from performance overclockingbut for now it is possible to think that it is a configuration in stock.

With the Time Spy Extreme test, aimed at testing DirectX 12 at 4K resolution and included in the same suite benchmarkingthe predicted NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is labeled a a score of 20,192, which would be about a double improvement over the standard RTX 3090 and 80% over the RTX 3090 Ti. This is in line with the data we have previously published, but although the products are not officially launched, it is still wise to remain cautious until everything is released.
Another feature of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is that it would use 128 streaming multiprocessors (SMs) out of the 144 introduced to reach a total of 16,384 CUDA cores. In addition, it would include 96 MB of L2 buffer memory, 384 render output units (ROPs), 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and would require a single 16-pin connector capable of delivering up to 600 watts of power. Since the known TBP is 450 watts so far, the TGP is expected to be lower.

As we said before, if NVIDIA lives up to the expectations it generates around GTC 2022, we will see the official presentation of the Ada Lovelace generation on September 20, 2022. The latest rumors say that the event will show, along with the standard RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070, so the more mid- and low-range oriented models will see the light later.
