Vivo X Note was the third device that the Chinese brand introduced at its recent event, where we also had the opportunity to see a folding X Fold mobile phone and a mid-range tablet.

Vivo X Note is a smartphone that will captivate. It’s big, really big, with a huge 7-inch screen, 21:10 aspect ratio and rounded edges that will be hard to use with one hand, but offers great options as a mobile and as a tablet.

Its screen is a multi-touch AMOLED signed by Samsung, with the aforementioned 7-inch diagonal and native resolution increased to 3080 x 1440 pixels. The aspect ratio is unusual for mobile phones, but it is ideal for media consumption and multitasking. And high quality from the supplier, A + DisplayMate qualification, maximum brightness 1,500 rivets and DCI-P3 color gamut coverage 112%.

Behind the screen is an ultrasonic fingerprint reader (3D Sonic Max from Qualcomm), which, taking advantage of the screen, is so large that it can read two fingerprints at the same time, which increases access security.

There is no surprise in its internal hardware. Like the folding X Note, Vivo puts together the best that is available, the most advanced Qualcomm chipset for this year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The SoC has a special cooling system that includes a massive steam chamber (47,132 mm²) and a graphite plate. The GPU output can be powered by the MEMC algorithm to increase the frame rate without additional GPU load.

Their cameras aren’t bad either optics from the prestigious ZEISS. On the back is mounted a 50 MP quad ISOCELL GN1 sensor, 48 MP and 14 mm ultra-wide angle camera, 12 MP portrait camera and another with 5 MP periscope zoom. As for its battery, it offers a capacity of 5,000 mAh with 80-watt fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

This device, a full-fledged “phablet”, will be available this week in China and we hope to see it in international markets soon. It will be distributed in three colors and as many versions depending on RAM and installed storage capacity:

  • With 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage capacity: 5,999 yuan ($ 940 per exchange)
  • With 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage capacity: 6,499 yuan ($ 1,020 in exchange)
  • With 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage capacity: 6,999 yuan ($ 1,100 in exchange)
