Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a meeting with Eric Schmidt, former executive director and chairman of the board of Google, former chairman of the board of Alphabet company and technology consultant.

As noted, Schmidt has previously worked with the US Department of Defense on innovation issues, and his family has established philanthropic foundations in the areas of sustainable development and responsible use of natural resources.

Schmidt said he was happy to help Ukraine. “What’s happening in your country because of this war is terrible,” said the former CEO of Google.
The interlocutors paid special attention to opportunities to deepen cooperation.
Yermak and Schmidt discussed technological solutions that could help Ukraine speed up the liberation of lands, restore its territorial integrity, and return to a safe and peaceful life.
Also, the businessman drew attention to the importance of supporting talented young people who can quickly change the future.
It is noteworthy that Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov also attended the meeting.
As Ukrinform reported, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in Kiev on September 8 that US support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia is effective and will not stop until aggression against Ukraine stops.
