Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a new installment in the action and adventure video game saga of Ubisoft. It will be available in 2023 and you can reserve three editions of it since yesterday: standard, deluxe and collectible.

If we haven’t lost count, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be the thirteenth major installment in the franchise, one of the longest in the industry, as if we include smaller titles, we can go to two dozen in total. The game is announced two years after the release of the Viking world of Valhalla, the work that completed what we can consider a trilogy (according to the concept of the game) along with Origins in Egypt and Odyssey in Greece.

Mirage falls in the 9th century in the city of Baghdada metropolis that has reached its peak and leads the world in matters from science to art, innovation and commerce. “Against the backdrop of this bustling urban landscape, a young orphan with a tragic past struggles through the streets to survive.”.

We will live the story of a “cunning street thief” named Basim Ibn Ishaq, who is looking for answers and justice. After a deadly revenge, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization well known to fans of the saga, the Hidden. Ubisoft says Mirage is breaking new ground as a “a shorter and more narrative play” than his predecessors and “pays homage to the show’s roots”so we can expect more stealth, more kills and more Parkour and fewer role-playing elements than those heavily incorporated from Origins.

Mirage will introduce several new mechanics, including time slowing and multi-kill abilities. We will continue to be aided by our predator, who gives us “eagle vision”, which fans of the saga know as the extrasensory ability to perceive individuals or objects. But beware, some enemy archers will be able to shoot him down now.

Little is known about the remaining innovations in essential components such as combat, we assume repetition hit box for melee and light, heavy, or overloaded attacks to build combos, in addition to mandatory blocks and dodges, and ranged combat.
