The American company said that 98.6% of shareholders support the deal to sell Twitter to Elon Musk, according to preliminary data.
The final distribution of votes will be known later when the company submits documents to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Engadget reported that in the special meeting of shareholders, which lasted about seven minutes, the shareholders also accepted the compensation offer that the company executives will receive as a result of the agreement.
The final decision in the dispute between Twitter and Elon Musk will be made by the court in October.
