Ukraine started cyberattacks on Russian resources on February 24 – Fedorov

On February 24, Ukraine changed its strategy and began not only to defend itself against Russian cyber attacks, but also to carry out cyber attacks on the resources of the Russian Federation.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, this was reported to the Batsman program by the Deputy Prime Minister – Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

He noted that since its establishment, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has focused on continuous protection against Russian cyberattacks and the creation of products and services.

“We did not intend to attack anyone, we were not financed by intelligence and just did our job. We defended ourselves and constantly created products. But everything changed when tanks entered our country. From product development and services, we did not just go to the defense and offensive strategy “, – stressed Fedorov.

According to him, dozens of Russian databases have already been hacked, and the personal data of citizens, as well as the infrastructure of telecommunications and many registries have been made public.

“The cyber community is very active and doing everything they can to keep their heads up. And this will continue until the war is over. There will be no relaxation,” he said.

As Ukrinform reported, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression, more than 120 strong cyberattacks on the resources of state officials and the military administration of Ukraine were immediately detected and neutralized.
