From April 13, residents of Kiev will be able to monitor the weather in the capital in the Kyiv Digital application. This was announced by the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko on the Telegram channel, where he posted a video from one of the stationary air quality monitoring complexes.

“Now Kyivites will be able to monitor the weather in the capital in the “Kyiv Digital” application. We have supplemented the service with data from all city air quality monitoring points. How does it work? Klitschko said, “In Kyiv Digital, users will be able to select the nearest point on the map to monitor the air quality in their area .” Said.

He added that Kiev continues to strengthen its control over the weather. Military action and bombardment caused fires in the suburbs, while some days in the capital caused poor weather conditions.

According to the mayor, the city is developing a modern system of air monitoring points for more effective control and understanding of actual air pollution. Therefore, in the capital there are already 5 fixed European-style air monitoring systems that carefully examine air quality in about 10 indicators: various dust fractions, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ammonia, ground-level ozone, hydrogen sulfide and formaldehyde, meteorological. And they will soon add a measurement of the radiation background.

In addition, Kyiv Digital has improved its weather service – weather forecasts have become more detailed. Developers continue to improve services and work on new ones to adapt the application to martial law.
