Maksym Shumakov, a schoolboy from Volyn, developed a system for tracking the movement of drones. With his unique invention, he won the recognition of all Ukrainians.

Tenth grader Maksym built the device from a system of sensors and a video camera. Teachers noted that no other similar developments were made in Ukraine. The system can also work for ground-based drones. The developers decided to focus on UAVs. While working on the invention, the situation on the front was difficult, so the experts decided to focus on the implementation of the project.

Devices of this format are used in scientific research, as well as during rescue operations to search for the wounded and injured. The UAV will also be used for photographing objects and video recording during military operations.

The cost level at the time the invention was created was $30. Maksym continues to work on improving the project. In parallel, the guy develops and develops a four-bit processor.

After the Ukrainian university, the young inventor plans to study abroad. His dream is a Doctor of Sciences degree. But he plans to work in Ukraine.

Maksym noted that the device, which is used to track the relevant obstacles in front of the drones, ensures the successful return of the drone to the launch site. Even if the enemy begins to “jam” with radio-electronic combat vehicles, the equipment will be able to quickly reach the corresponding coordinate point without damage.

The new system allows the drone to return even when GPS, Wi-Fi or other functions are disabled. Adam used an algorithm that allows you to identify obstacles in real time. The function remembers the flight path, which is the path the drone can return to.

Representatives of the Ukrainian army were interested in the invention. In case of opposition to a large-scale invasion of Russian troops, the units need as many drones as possible. They are unmanned aerial vehicles that make it possible to obtain high-quality intelligence and information about the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
