Recently Google cloud announced a partnership with Drone Racing League (DRL) move the drone race to Silicon Valley. Celebrating the start of the 2022-23 DRL Algorand World Championship season, the event will feature 12 of the world’s best drivers racing in sports arenas, virtual simulations and the world of the metaverse.

Entitled Race DRL in the cloudthe event is scheduled for October 11, 2022 at Paypal Park in San Jose, California. Thus, according to the official DRL website, the race will take place on the opening night of the annual conference. Google Cloud Nextwhich will feature updates from the Google team.
Considered the sport of the future, DRL drone racing will have something new this year. By partnering with Google Cloud, members will have the opportunity to participate in Google Cloud Fly Cupwhich will allow developers to use DRL race data to predict race results and provide advice to DRL drivers with the primary goal of improving performance throughout the season.
The Google Cloud competition prize will be a paid trip at the end of the 2022-2023 DRL Algorand World Championship season.
