An unusual scene took place in Los Angeles, California. Autonomous delivery robot Uber eats crossed out yellow tape from the crime scene. An intriguing event happened last Tuesday (13).

The video, which has gone viral on social media, comes from William Hood’s FILm the Police LA profile. He created a profile to document police work in the Los Angeles area. Goode filmed near the alleged location of the Hollywood High School shooting. He quickly alerted the delivery robot walking down the sidewalk and approaching the yellow warning tape.

“A food delivery robot makes its way through a police crime sceneGude said. In an interview with Gizmodo, Gude was very surprised by the scene he captured.

“I just saw it happen and I couldn’t believe what I saw“, said. “I thought to myself, “What did I just film?”“, continued.

Robot works at Uber

The robot that broke into the crime scene belongs to Serve Robotics. It is an independent company since 2021 that provides Uber Eats services. Aduc Thelwell, press officer for Serve Robotics, also gave a statement to Gizmodo.

“Serve’s standard operating procedure is to reroute, not cross, barrier tapes; however, in this case, the boss of the robot believed they were being waved. We are taking steps to ensure that our operating procedures are followed in the future.“, said.

He also explained that the robot is not completely autonomous. And at the time of the invasion did not deliver to Uber.
