Elon Musk’s SpaceX has launched 54 more mini-satellites into orbit to renew the orbital group of the Starlink global internet coverage network.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Space.com.
The Falcon 9 launch vehicle was launched from the Florida spaceport at 03:18 Kyiv time on Monday.
It is noted that before that, Musk’s company had to delay the flight of the mission, which had 54 Starlink satellites on board, five times due to adverse weather conditions. The satellites reached the planned orbit 15.5 minutes after launch.
The company has already launched more than 3200 Starlink satellites into orbit.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently said he hopes to launch up to 100 SpaceX missions by 2023.
As Ukrinform reported, at the beginning of September, the American company SpaceX placed 51 more mini-satellites into orbit to renew the orbital group of the Starlink system’s global Internet coverage network.
Starlink is a SpaceX project that provides broadband Internet access over a satellite network. The speed of this type of Internet is up to 1 Gbit/s per subscriber and you can use it anywhere in the world.
