Looks like today is the day of highly anticipated game leaks. And it’s that if we were to replay this morning’s massive leak of footage of the future GTA 6, this afternoon he is the protagonist of Diablo IV, a title we’ve been waiting several years for, and which thankfully seems to be getting closer every day. And it’s that in addition to two videos of what would be a previous version of the development (understand that it looks better than in them at the moment), there are also interesting data regarding the next steps in its development.
Starting with the leak, Reddit user iV1rus0 discovered it two videos uploaded anonymously to a file sharing website, one containing 38 minutes of footage from Diablo IV and the other 5 minutes more. The website for these videos is files.fm and the folder that contains them (at least until they are removed, if ever) can be found at this link. What we can see in the video is the “normal” game that allows us to continue feeding hypewhen a little over a month passed since the last leak in which we could see the customization section.
We can see it in the videos much of the game appears to be functional already, a good sign that would indicate that its development is already well advanced. However the same cannot be said for the graphics partwhich shows the whole world aspect of being a version alpha. So we can understand that we are currently at a point where development should no longer cause too many problems, and that we are therefore now focusing on the art part of Diablo IV. So everything seems to be greenlit for its launch sometime in 2023.
And as I hinted at the beginning, the leak of the two videos isn’t the only interesting thing that happened today regarding Diablo IV. Quite the opposite, Blizzard posted (yes, today exactly) a video on the game’s official YouTube channel confirming that the first phase of private testing is already underwaywhich the developers call “Friends & Family” (a name used to indicate that access to it is limited to people who are very close to you.
More interestingly, however, they also confirmed the early (albeit without an exact date) launch of the final version of the game in the closed beta phase. They don’t even indicate what will need to be done to access it, if possible, but from the way they present it, everything indicates that these tests will be carried out, at least in part, in the rest of 2022. And why? Because for beginning of 2023 the company confirms it Diablo IV’s first public beta opens. What suddenly makes the game feel closer than ever?
