Along with iOS 16.1, watchOS 9.1 and tvOS 16.1 operating systems were released for “smart” watches and TVs, respectively. Traditionally, they spread “by the air.”

What’s new in iOS 16.1 beta 1:

• The Clean Energy Charging feature aims to “reduce your carbon footprint” by “selectively charging when low-carbon electricity is available”.
• You can now uninstall the Wallet app. It is worth noting that Apple Pay, Apple Cash and Apple Card will not work without it.
• Battery percentage in battery icon is now available including iPhone XR, 11, 12 mini and 13 mini.
• A new setting in Game Center is “Let friends detect”.
• Live Event API started working. Cards with active actions, such as the current score of a sporting event, can now be viewed on the lock screen.
• Stage Manager (iPadOS 16.1) has been improved and the menu for editing screenshots has been redesigned.
• A previous version of Matter support, a communication protocol for smart home devices, has appeared.

What’s new in iOS 16.0.1:

• Fixed an issue that caused photos to appear washed out when zoomed in landscape mode (iPhone 14 Pro Max).
• Fixed activation and data migration error during initial setup of iPhone 14 and 14 Pro.
• Fixed an issue where enterprise SSO applications could encounter an error when trying to authenticate.
