The Newskill Banshee is without a doubt one of the most important launches of the well-known Spanish brand for the rest of 2022 and is also one of the most anticipatednot for nothing, this is a premium level gaming chair, which is clear from the moment we look at its price, which is 399.95 euros.

This number is clearly above the average we are used to seeing in the gaming chair market, and therefore imposes a clear duty on the Newskill Banshee, it must clearly offer user experience, ergonomics, quality of materials and strength at the construction level. above average to justify its price.

Will he be able to get it? We’ll find out, though before I get into it, I’ll remind you that the Newskill Banshee is available in two versions, one in fabric and the other in imitation leather. The unit we received for analysis is the one that uses fabric, a material that is more balanced than leather and offers a better user experience when it’s warm. If you’re on the fence between the two, I’d straight up recommend the leather model.

Newskill Banshee: First Contact

The first thing we notice when we open the box from which all the parts that make up the Newskill Banshee come is its meticulous design, and when we start taking them out of the box we realize that the quality of construction and materials is on another level. Want to know exactly what we noticed? Well, in many details, among which we can highlight:

• Quality of fabrics and fillings.
• A neck insert that has perfect ergonomics, fantastic softness and is magnetized, which achieves a clean design and relieves us of the problem of classic inserts using an elastic band (which loses its stiffness over time).
• The base where the wheels are installed is made of aluminum.
• The wheels are of the EasySlide type, use ball bearings and are made of polyurethane.
• Armrests that are 4D and have a very solid build quality and premium padding.
• Lumbar adjustment wheel that allows us to adjust the position effortlessly.
• Class 4 base and gas piston robustness.

My first contact with the Newskill Banshee couldn’t be more positive. From the start, this chair made it clear that it wasn’t just another chair and that it had what it took to become a true premium gaming chair. In the video analysis, you can see in more detail the quality of the construction and materials that this chair is proud of.

The assembly process is very simple, so much so that it didn’t take us more than a few minutes. The instruction manual explains all the steps perfectly and we have all the screws we will need along with an Allen key which is the only tool we need to complete the assembly. We explain the process step by step in the video and as you can see, the Spanish brand has done a great job with the Newskill Banshee, as the whole process is easy, intuitive and requires no special skills.

This is all that is included in the Newskill Banshee build:

• A backrest that has a very careful ergonomic design and an adjustable lumbar base via an integrated wheel on the side. It can also be tilted up to 180 degrees. The unit we received comes in gray and black with white accents.
• A seat that has a very firm surface finish and very distinctive side “ear flaps” that perfectly support the legs. It also maintains this color scheme in grey, black and white details.
• A base with five ends in aluminum design, where we mount the five included EasySlide wheels, which, as we said, use ball bearings and are coated with polyurethane, which guarantees a smooth and agile movement without scratching the floor.
• Two high-quality 4D padded armrests covered in synthetic leather with a carbon fiber finish that gives it a sporty touch. They can be adjusted for height, depth, orientation and tilt.
• Neck pillow made of soft viscoelastic foam covered with velvet plush, held by magnets. It also comes with a lumbar pad that uses the same materials but is not magnetized.
• A base with a class 4 gas piston, a rim to cover it and two handles to adjust the height and lock or release the tilt of the base.
• Screws and Allen key for assembly, which is explained in the instructions.

we start bike placement based on the five extremes. These are inserted under pressure, so no more mystery, we apply a little force and that’s it.

The next step is connect the lumbar support to the seat. To do this, we need to use oblong screws, two on each side, and place them so that the holes in the backrest match the metal mounts on the seat. Tighten each piece one by one, starting on the side that has a tight fastener.

Now we proceed to screwing the second fastening, which as we see in the video, the movement is moving and fits easily into the holes in the backrest. We screw it in and we are ready. Now we move on to the placement of the hems. These are pushed into the bottom hole and reinforced with one of the small screws. After screwing, place a plug in each hole.

We are making a lot of progress and very fast. Installation is very simple and intuitive, right away we have to place armrests. These surprised us with their excellent build quality, which is evident from the moment we hold them in our hands, and they are 4D, as we already told you.

The backrest and seat, which we have already assembled, are placed face up and we proceed to screwing the armrests. Be careful not to place them too deep as you will run out of room to screw the gas piston base. The armrests look different with distinct left and right.

For mounting the gas piston we have to use the included screws and washers. First we put small, then medium and finally large. Align the base with the piston in the holes and tighten the screws one by one, gradually, so that it does not come loose.

Trick, we can leave the armrest unassembled to better align when we finish assembling the piston base. The next step is place the handles which regulate the height and slope. They are pressurized, so we just have to push.

We are in the last stretch. Place the gas piston in the aluminum base where the wheels go and put the trim up. Now just put the chair on it and that’s it, the chair is already folded.

I only found one, but during the assembly process, which is that the included Allen key has both long sides, thereby rubbing against the base, which we need to anchor to the seatand makes us turn it inside out. User experience and conclusions

After completing the assembly process, we stop for a moment to take a closer look at the design of the Newskill Banshee, and it is clear that we are dealing with a gaming model with a very careful aesthetic and without fanfare, which, frankly, should be appreciated. It has character, but also a touch of elegance which makes it suitable for any space, the color combination of this model is one of my favorites and the design of the neck and lumbar pillows is the icing on the “cake”, which fully met our expectations.

As we began to interact with the various parts of the Newskill Banshee, it became clear to us that we were dealing with a “premium” chair, i.e. a model made from premium materials, and once the assembly process was complete, it became even more apparent. Everything about this chair exudes qualityfrom the solidity and superb glide of its base to the precision and power of the gas piston, not to mention the sublime padding and exquisite touch of its neck padding.

This is all very well, the Newskill Banshee fits the bill in terms of design and aesthetics, but how was the user experience? much better than expectedand not only because of the strength of the chair, which is clearly at the level of what can be expected from a chair in its price range, but also because of the fantastic padding, because of the various adjustment options (inclination, height, lumbar adjustment, 4D armrests) and above all because of the excellent ergonomics neck pillow, which, thanks to its trapezoidal arrangement, has become one of the best that I have tested so far.

Newskill Banshee offers an experience that definitely is not possible to enjoy with other models of lower ranks. The great feel and quality of the materials are combined with ergonomics that border on perfection and a very high level of customization that will allow us to adapt it completely to our preferences and our needs. You can play, study and work with it for hours in total comfort, and if you ever want to take a break, no problem, you can take a nap with it.

So is it worth it? DefinitelyThe Newskill Banshee deserves to be considered an excellent premium gaming chair because it doesn’t clash in any way and has managed to exceed our expectations. It is true that not everyone can afford to pay 399.95 euros for a gaming chair, but we must not forget that ultimately, it’s an important investment if you spend many hours in front of a monitorwhich will result in you enjoying years of absolute comfort and thus the quality and ergonomics of your chair may ultimately affect your healthboth positively and negatively.
