One of the problems of the messenger is that it does not tell you how much time is left before the completion of sending a message with a file, which will be solved with a new feature that the developers have started testing.

According to WABetaInformationportal specializing in application news reporting facebookthis novelty arrived for version testers Desktop applications, and now it is finally becoming available on android and iOS via latest update whatsapp beta. For some testers, the novelty begins to become available this week, initially only a small group of users have access to it.

How this new feature works is quite simple: a percentage upload counter is displayed along with the file being sent. Along with the, whatsapp will also inform the amount of time left before the message is sent:

While this may seem like a simple feature that should have been available on the platform for a long time, this new feature can be quite useful, especially as the size of the files that will be shared across the application increases. Users can currently send messages with attachments up to 100MB, but some betas have started to get the ability to send up to 2 GB in the Meta app.

This new send limit started testing first with some testers iOS in Argentina, but the feature is expected to roll out to other platforms and regions in the coming weeks.
