Rockstar has made an official statement confirming the authenticity of the material and expressing regret that their ongoing work is seen before it is completely finished. Although many people support Rockstar, there were also critics of the game’s graphics. In particular, a user wrote that the graphics were made first. In response to this statement, the developers began to share materials from the first versions of incoming games, making it clear that many elements of the development process do not look the same as in the final version.

For example, Remedy chief designer Paul Ehreth showed what Control looked like at an early stage and eventually won multiple awards for graphics.

In response, the creators of Cult of the Lamb published a comparison of the final version of the game with an early build. The developers of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Splatoon have also joined the flash mob. However, other projects began to appear in the network, which at the initial stages looked completely different.
