As part of the traditional monthly update Tuesday Patch, Microsoft has released an update for Windows 11. The update brings not only bug fixes and security improvements, but also new features. Update number KB5012599 can be downloaded both via Windows Update (Windows Update Center) and manually. The update includes a mandatory security update that will be installed automatically.
The operating system has enabled the Search Highlights feature, which presents content depending on the day. For example, important events and holidays, and corporate users – important contacts and recent files. A new interface appears when the user clicks the search box in the taskbar and enters nothing.
Added support for all three high priority pop-up messages in the message center. This notification feature can be useful if the user frequently receives calls, messages, reminders, or notifications from programs that use Windows Messaging. After the update, the messages will be processed in a special way and these warnings will appear at the same time.
In addition, the operating system has become easier to change the default browser, which has long been awaited by many users. Recently, this innovation became part of an optional update and will now be installed automatically for all users. Source
