Almost 13 years later, USS Gerald R. Ford was definitely ready. The US’s newest aircraft carrier began construction in November 2009 and is expected to be delivered in 2017. However, due to delays related to reliability issues with new technologies, the CVN-78 is known to be a carrier, its completion has been pushed back to this year.

Ford (CVN-78) is a top priority for the Navy, and the progress made by the team during post-extortion readiness (PSA) was in line with requirements, while the next eight months of testing and post-sales testing of the CVN 78 (PDT&T) were impressively ahead of schedule.”
“Even in the face of a global pandemic, the team has maintained a lightning pace, and we will continue to do so for our fleet and our country until the USS Gerald R. Ford fulfills its post-delivery obligations and is fully available. and ready to go. tasks for the fleet, ”added O’Connor.
On August 8, 2021, the USS Gerald R. Ford successfully passed the ship’s crash tests. At the time, the US Navy used explosives near the ship to test the stability and strength of the aircraft carrier.
