The new notch on the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max has become almost the main feature of new products – it is not surprising that other manufacturers are also interested in it. However, Xiaomi will clearly surpass all its competitors: the company already has a Civi 2 smartphone with a similar design, which will be presented on September 27. Its design and features are officially open.

The screen of the Xiaomi Civi 2 clearly shows a cutout for the dual front camera, with each sensor receiving a resolution of 32 MP. One of the modules was represented by a regular camera with an emphasis on night photography, while the other received a wide-angle lens. In renders, the notch on the Civi 2 looks smaller (and accordingly more cohesive) than the “tablet” on the iPhone 14 Pro. Maybe it’s because fewer sensors are hidden inside.

Civi smartphones are aimed at young people and can act as devices for testing new technologies and designs – if the demand for the Civi 2 is high, there is a possibility that Xiaomi will use a similar hack in other smartphones in the future. In addition, the head of Redmi had asked the public if the company should make an analogy of Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro.
