On September 22, MSI company, one of the leading manufacturers of computer components, officially introduced the new solid state drive SPATIUM M570 to the world. The main feature of this solution is the incredible speed of data transfer, due to the fact that it works with the latest PCIe 5.0 interface – so the manufacturer managed to show more than 12,000 MB/s when reading and 10,000 MB/s when writing. data. This is about twenty times faster than SATA3 solid state drives, so the difference in system performance will be quite noticeable.

It’s worth noting that drives previously running on the PCIe 4.0 interface provided a maximum speed of 7,000MB/s, which is a pretty good indicator against a 500-600MB/s background for SATA3 drives. But with the gradual transition to PCIe 5.0, the situation had to change dramatically – that’s exactly what happened. While 10GB/s when writing data is incredible for a serial SSD, the manufacturer also supplies the SPATIUM M570 with a pretty decent amount of memory. There are models with 1, 2 and 4 TB – it does not make sense to make less memory in such an expensive product, moreover, the larger the amount of memory, the higher the resource of the drive.

At the same time, the problem of overheating has certainly not disappeared – solid-state drives always heat up, especially when operating at such a data transfer rate as a memory controller, and MSI immediately decided to release the SPATIUM M570 with a special radiator. from aluminum (painted in bronze, but not actually bronze). It has a special ribbed shape that increases the overall heat dissipation area, plus the designers have clearly worked to make the driver more than attractive. However, most likely, the drive will not be sold without a radiator – those who already have a radiator on their motherboard will have to choose.

In addition, although MSI calls the driver a model for professionals, the press release also mentions gamers – naturally, with such a transfer speed, video games will load very quickly, there will be no problems with textures in open worlds, etc. The only problem is that the manufacturer is not yet ready to set the official price of this driver. But, of course, it will be an expensive pleasure, especially considering that there are no competitors on the market at the moment.
