An AI hotline opens in Japan to detect dementia

Japanese telecommunications company NTT Communications has created an artificial intelligence hotline to detect dementia.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by NHK.

NTT Communications’ AI-based service asks callers to answer a few basic questions.

The system evaluates pitch of voice, speed of response, and hundreds of other factors to determine if a person is suffering from dementia. A response can be given in about a minute.

The company claims that the accuracy of this service is 93%.

It has been noted that Japan is one of the countries with a rapidly aging population in the world, and one of the consequences of this is an increase in the number of dementia cases.

As Ukrinform reports, the British company DeepMind Technologies Limited, thanks to artificial intelligence, has deciphered the structure of more than 200 million proteins known to science today.
