The WeRUkraine platform was created as part of the Meta History: War Museum global project.
On the project’s website, viewers can immerse themselves in the reality of Russia’s war against Ukraine, thanks to AR/VR tours and live broadcasts. Project CEO Vasyl Kopanov informed Ukrinform about this.
According to him, tours and publications are made from cities liberated from Russian invaders, historical and cultural objects destroyed or destroyed by the Russian army.
“WeRUkraine aims to combine new technologies to attract attention to support Ukraine in its struggle for independence, it shows the real war without editing the reality,” says Kopanov.
Top 10 VR locations are already available on the platform, including Bucha, Gostomel, Borodyanka, Lukyanivka metro station, which was hit by rocket fire.
“We want to show the reality of war that you are not alone even when you watch from your own safe house. Now imagine the same thing happening to you in real life. On our platform, you can simply click a button to stop. But Ukrainians can’t do that – a simple and peaceful life is now out of our reach. The war for us is always The day is here and now.
But there is a way to stop this – compassion. True compassion is action. Wait, let’s put an end to Russian aggression together,” says Kopanov.
On the platform, viewers can donate to the restoration of cities, villages, monuments of cultural and historical heritage. In the future, WeRUkraine plans to launch live broadcasts from occupied cities, the first of which will be Irpin.
