Paramount Aerospace Industries, a subsidiary of Paramount Group, has begun deliveries of the revolutionary Mwari aircraft to the Air Force. Mwari is an advanced reconnaissance, surveillance and precision attack aircraft.

The Mwari attack aircraft performs missions that previously required several different aircraft, fulfilling an important global security requirement for air forces worldwide for enhanced ISR and point strike capabilities. The helicopter combines the concepts of surveillance platforms and reconnaissance aircraft with the ability to carry multiple systems such as surveillance radar and electro-optical sensor systems.

Exclusive to Mwari is the Interchangeable Management Systems Bay (IMSB) at the bottom of the aircraft, which offers a nearly endless choice of sensors and payloads that can be integrated and replaced in less than two hours to take advantage of its innovative technology. The modular capsule enables this single platform to perform multiple functions without any streamlined or regulatory requirements.

Mwari offers advanced weather sensors, weapons and real-time data analysis capable of performing a wide variety of tasks in harsh and remote environments with little logistical support. In addition, the aircraft is specially designed for endless reconfiguration, allowing Mwari to be used in different missions in response to the diverse requirements of customers around the world.

The glass cockpit with night vision, complete with touchscreens, HOTAS and keyboard interface, has also been optimized for pilot ergonomics and the rear crew member provides superior visibility compared to typical configurations.

The Mwari has a practical ceiling of up to 9,500 meters and offers a maximum cruise speed of up to 500 km/h, a range of up to 1,020 km with ammunition and total autonomy of up to 6.5 hours. The plane also offers an opportunity “abbreviated take-off and landing” (STOL) has a robust retractable undercarriage that optimizes the aircraft for both runways and unprepared runways or pads.

Mwari was designed with portable manufacturing in mind. Depending on customer requirements, the aircraft can be exported as a kit for final assembly in customer countries and is easily integrated into worldwide supply chains, enabling scalable mass production.
