Have you ever had the desire to type on a keyboard with keys so small that they are difficult to press? Or use a PC with a fist-sized display? Probably no. Anyway, this is a curious offer from the Chinese brand LilyGo with Mini keyboard T-Keyboard-C3, which turns a smart watch into a computer.

Functionality that looks like a dream of 80s science fiction characters, can not be used with any smart watch, like the Apple Watch Ultra. The mini keyboard is connected via the ESP-32-C3 microcontroller to the LilyGo T-watch smart watch. The keyboard has Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi 4 support, and a USB-C port. Mini PCs can be programmed using Arduino tools, an open source platform for prototyping programmable electronics. The mini PC also lacks an operating system.

For those willing to take the risk, GitHub has open source available to users. In addition, the T-watch smartwatch has a three-axis accelerometer, usually used for step counting, but with the right code, it can be turned into a gesture reader.

Despite the difficult applicability of T-Keyboard-C32 mini keyboard, LilyGo smart watch can be connected to PC via J-Link connection. Thus, the user can transfer the prototyping work developed on the Arduino platform to the computer.

According to the company, the product motto is: “During dull times, do fun things” making it clear that the device is intended for those enthusiasts who want to take the opportunity to learn or just play around with programming.

Also, it’s a bit difficult to see other applicability of the product due to the tiny display and keyboard. On the page of the official website, the device is for sale, but the link redirects to an AliExpress page with an unavailable product. If you were interested for some reason, it will be quite difficult for you to get your hands on a LilyGo mini keyboard and smartwatch.
