According to experts, Finland will need around 15,000 new experts in the field of cybersecurity in the coming years.
This was reported by Yle, according to Ukrinform reports.
“There is a shortage of experts in cybersecurity in Finland, but the level of education in this profession does not meet the requirements of working life,” the publication says.
This is due to a survey conducted by the University of Jyväskylä to find out the country’s cybersecurity needs.
According to the survey, 35% of companies working in this field see the acute shortage of specialists as an obstacle to the growth and development of their activities.
As noted, the Association of Cybersecurity Companies states that Finland (population 5.5 million) will need around 15,000 new specialists in the coming years.
Against this background, the publication explains that last year the number of places in programs teaching information processing and data transfer increased to 300.
