The end of summer has come and you are leaving. I don’t know until when, this master… well, well, sorry, but they met on Sunday, the arrival of autumn and that today in my village the sky became cloudy, so the nostalgic gene was activated intensively (and intensively, what would they say on Twitter) . Lucky that GOG my beloved Good old games came to the rescueso the change of season is not as gray as promised a few hours ago with the first morning coffee.

And it’s that after freaking us out late last year (some speculation, that needs to be clarified), we learned in April of this year that GOG would continue to live up to its name and therefore maintain its commitment to classic games, without DRM and at more than reasonable prices. Shortly after the announcement, this was confirmed by the launch of the Good Old Games section, which, as correctly defined by colleague J. Pomeyrol, sounded like a cacophony (Old Good Games still on GOG), but in fact it meant a return to the beginnings, to the joy of manyamong which I include myself.

But hey, autumn nostalgia has me talking about the past again, when in reality the news has more to do with the present. And so it is, all this weekend and until tomorrow GOG offers a selection of over 400 discounted games which in some cases can reach up to 90%. You can see the full list of offers here, although I’ll warn you in advance that I’ve discussed this with several friends between yesterday and today, and in each case at least one game has crashed.

The selection is undoubtedly one of the most diverse in terms of styles, years of publication and of course prices.. From two of the most popular farm management games on the market (Stardew Valley and My time at Portia) to the fascinating and absolutely excellent Disco Elysium, including Tomb Raider GOTY edition, the educational (and fun) SHENZHEN I/O and TIS -100. , the terrifying Martha Is Dead or a package with the first three games of the Tom Raider saga for only 1.99 euros (all three, not each). From titles from the last century that sound more distant every day, to others that only hit the market a few weeks ago.

It’s good (and bad) among so much diversity it’s almost impossible not to end up at the checkout. And what’s better (and worse) about these prizes… why not take advantage of the opportunity to win a few? At the very least, and now that the days are clearly shorter, we’ll have more distractions without leaving the house.
