In recent years, sound has become especially important when it comes to playing video games on consoles, listening to music on a computer, or simply participating in a virtual conference. So much so that they keep updating what we might call the classic headband headphones with more technology and features that make them much more versatile. This is the case with the new Newskill Aton Ivory whose notification we showed you yesterday and which we were able to test.
Twins of the Newskill Aton Black (the only difference is the black color of the latter), the Newskill Aton Ivory earphones hit the market as an alternative designed for the most demanding players. It is compatible with PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox or smartphone and is designed to be used on any device without much trouble.
The package includes headphones various accessories and cables which complete the experience. Audio connecting cable; charging cable to USB port; audio adapter with two outputs; cover for microphone and USB for wireless connection. With all this, the peripheral adapts to different situations and covers the most common needs.
In the white version of these headphones that we were able to test, their stylized design stands out. Uniform headband color adjustable only interrupted by a gray strap that does not beat and decorated with tribals on the earrings. Around it is a circle of colors that activate to indicate different actions (such as an active Bluetooth or USB connection). The headband is comfortable to wear thanks to the fabric-topped paddings that allow good breathability for hours. Of course, the design is perhaps a bit large for narrow heads like a servant.
All buttons are hidden on the back of the left earcup except microphone which is located at the front of the headset itself. The microphone can also be hidden inside the helmet when not in use and pulled out when needed. Their flexibility allows you to adjust playing or talking in a virtual meeting and its ability omnidirectional allows the voice to be heard clearly and transparently. In fact, in the tests we were able to do with other partners, they confirmed a good sound quality that allows for smooth communication and no other obstacles.
In the button section, the Newskill Aton Ivory is designed so that most action from the headset itself: answer calls and hang up, pause music, control volume or mute the microphone are some of the actions that can be easily controlled from the headset itself by pressing a button.
If we focus on sound, these headphones combine acceptable sound with a price tailored for the quality of materials and specifications. If we missed the sound suppression function, the key to an immersive work or play experience, but for the rest, the Newskill Aton Ivory moves in the frequency range of 20 Hz – 20 kHz with a sensitivity of 118 ± 3 dB.
With reference to autonomy, no complaints. The headphones are ready for hours and hours of entertainment. According to the official specs, it has a 1200mA battery, or the same, 20 hours with the lights on and less than 60% volume, and 45 hours with the lights off and less than 60% volume. In our case, we can ensure that we did not need to pay extra for several days of work use, video playback, video calling and more.
Connections for all tastes
One of the advantages of Newskill Aton Ivory is his ease of connection in different ways so that everyone can choose what best suits their needs or moment. The first is wired for the more classic users. At this point, we can state that although the included cable is long enough to take it as far as we need, it can be a bit uncomfortable for us left-handed people, because the connection in the headset itself is on the left side and can also rub lightly on the neck.
However, this can be easily solved with the additional wireless options that we will now describe. Newskill Aton Ivory allows you to connect to the desired device two-way wireless: on one side we can connect a USB receiver Wireless which is included in the box. If we use this option, it’s not much more mysterious than a USB connection, and the connection will automatically connect to 2.4 GHz.
On the other hand, we can directly use Bluetooth 5.0 to pair the headset and the device, and enjoy complete independence from cabling also immediately.
To make the experience more intuitive, the headset sets different colors for each connection mode. In the case of the red LED, it corresponds to 2.4 Ghz technology, and the green one is relegated to Bluetooth 5.0.
conclusion
As we mentioned at the beginning of this analysis, sound is essential to complete an immersive and immersive entertainment experience. And that’s why the new Newskill Aton Ivory meets the goal and should be considered off-road.
For €89.95 that these headphones are worth it, we can say that we are facing an interesting proposal, moreover, from a Spanish manufacturer, which can become another Christmas gift for any gamer or enjoy music or videos. Thanks to the minimalist design, you can also combine hours of gaming with hours of study or work. And a 2×1 to consider is available on the Newskill website.
