Just a week after the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra was spotted by Chinese certification authorities, as we reported here on Connected World, now it’s the turn of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ (Plus).

The devices first appeared this Monday (26), receiving 3C certification. O The Samsung Galaxy S23 has been identified with the product code SM-S9110.. The Galaxy S23+ has the code SM-S9160.

Both have been certified for use with the same EP-TA800 charger rated at 11.0VDC, 2.25A. This means they will Support charging up to 25W.

Galaxy S23 with slower recharge?

Samsung’s current flagship is the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The phone supports up to 45W fast charging, in comparison, the S23 certification points to failure. However, it is important to note that we are talking about the Chinese version of the new Samsung smartphones, which usually go through restrictions set by local law.

It is likely that these specifications will change for the international release of the product.

Launch of Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra

According to sources, the new generation of the Galaxy family should support almost the same screen sizes and formats as the current versions. The most expected changes are related to the chipset, which should be replaced by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (whose announcement will now take place in November), and the main camera, which should appear along with resolution of at least 200 megapixels.

All phones must support 5G technology, including the new S23. Finally, there remains the question of the use of Exynos 2230/2300 chipsets in some territories. Will Samsung continue to bet on its own chipsets and processors for its smartphone lineup?
