The ASRock Mars ADL It’s an Intel-powered compact computer (mini-PC) that measures approximately 19.3 x 15 x 2.54 centimeters and aims to offer performance as well as versatility, although it’s not a gaming PC unless it’s running titles old and/or undemanding.

ASRock Mars ADL can equip as up to one Alder Lake generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor with Iris Xe graphics and up to 64 GB RAM via two SODIMM slots that support dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory. You can connect two SSDs for data storage (including the OS), but it is important to note that the ports are different, even though they both use the M.2 format, because one PCIe Gen4 x4 and the other PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA 3 .

Regarding connections from abroad, it makes Thunderbolt 4 Type-C available for video capable of reaching 40 GB/s using USB 4 and Thunderbolt protocols and 8K resolution at 60 Hz, HDMI which supports up to 4K and 60Hz and vga for Full HD at 60 Hz. The fact that VGA support betrays an office orientation, a context in which it is not strange to continue using old monitors that rely on this interface.

In addition to the video interface, the ASRock Mars ADL includes four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (rectangular), two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an SD card reader slot, and an RJ45 port for Gigabit Ethernet. For wireless connectivity, it includes an Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E module and an M.2 format slot capable of supporting an additional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module.

The ASRock Mars ADL is a computer that, thanks to the availability of models, is more oriented towards office tasks than anything else Intel Core i3-1215U and Intel Celeron 7305 as alternative processors. All of these chips have a base power of 15 watts and are capable of reaching 55 watts for a limited time.

They come with Windows 10 and Windows 11 pre-installed, but as is common with compatible PCs, the user usually faces a few hurdles when using the operating system of their choice.
