Little by little Google is revealing more information about its new Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone.. Mountain View posted a video this Tuesday (27) showing the device from every angle, highlighting the details of the camera suite and showing the three colors that will be available at launch: Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel.
Obsidian is a classic combination of black and dark gray. The color Snow has shades of white on the back of the device and silver-colored metal parts. Finally, Hazel version of Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone has a slightly greenish tint, with metal details and gold-colored sidewalls. Watch the teaser video:
Announced in May of this year, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were shown to Google in the form of a “dropper”. O The Pixel 7 Pro should be equipped with 12GB of RAM. and with a triple camera array featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 48MP telephoto lens, replacing the Sony IMX586 sensor with a Samsung GM1.
The new SoC will have eight cores and will be manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm process.
The screen should remain largely unchanged from the previous generation, with a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO panel with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Sources indicate that the battery capacity will remain at 5000mAh with support for fast charging up to 30W.
The highlight is the new Google Tensor G2 processor.. Produced by Samsung on a 4nm process, the SoC will have 20% higher performance and efficiency than the previous generation. Tensor G2 will feature 8 cores, a new GPU for graphics processing, and several improvements to perform machine learning tasks up to 35% faster.
The Google Tensor G2 should also equip the Pixel 7 lineup. The cheaper version of the smartphone, however, has somewhat simpler specs, including 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, a 4,700mAh battery, and an FHD+ OLED screen. 6.3-inch screen with 90Hz refresh rate.
Google’s new smartphones will be detailed in Made by Google event scheduled for October 6, 2022. The company plans to start pre-sales of the devices in the US on the same day, with the official launch taking place on October 13th.
