On Thursday, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 10 22H2 is now available to Windows Insiders using Windows 10 who choose a distribution channel. Pre-release. Availability on this channel basically means that the update is ready and should be officially released soon.

Members of the program can now download build 19045.1865 through Windows Update. In the case of companies that have joined Windows Insider Program for BusinessWindows 10 Build 22H2 19045.1865 is available as an optional cumulative update (KB5015878).

It is worth noting that although Windows 10 22H2 is ready, it will continue to receive cumulative updates containing bug fixes. At the moment, Microsoft has not yet announced when exactly Windows 10 22H2 will be released, but it is possible that this will happen in September.

Regarding what’s new in Windows 10 22H2, nothing was mentioned in the Microsoft announcement post. What is known is that the update introduces bug fixes and optimizations to the operating system.

Windows 10 users interested in upgrading to version 22H2 before the official release can do so by going to the dedicated Windows Insider Program area in the Settings app. When following the instructions to join the program, be sure to select a channel Pre-release as shown in the picture:
